Breakfast pancake for babies

Pancakes as breakfast provide the baby all the nutrition required by him. There are so many recipes for making pancakes of different tastes and flavor that you can feed your baby a new pancake recipe for each breakfast. The recipes for breakfast pancakes may include fruit mixed pancakes or highly nutritious pancakes made of oatmeal and so on.

The pancake which is liked by all babies for breakfast is the Dutch pancake. The recipe includes flour, milk, sugar and eggs as its basic ingredients along with the added flavor. These pancakes are generally baked, not fried and are served with various toppings like fruit syrups, jelly, butter or any other of your child’s choice.

Here is a recipe for breakfast pancake which is very healthy and you can give this to your baby as finger food.

Recipe for breakfast pancake


  • 1 ½ cup wheat flour
  • ¼ cup oats
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • ¾ cup apple juice
  • ¼ cup apple sauce
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt


Sift together wheat flour, salt and baking powder. Take a mixing bowl and transfer the dry mixture in to it. And add apple sauce to it and stir well. Now add apple juice and mix well to make a smooth batter. Now stir in honey and cinnamon powder. Let it stand for 5-7 minutes.

Heat a non stick skillet and pour a ladleful of the batter on it. Let it cook until golden brown in color over medium heat. Turn it and cook the other side too similarly. Serve hot or cool as per your choice.
