Sweet ‘n’ Sour Chicken Recipe

The success behind the chicken diet is that it involves a drastic reduction in calories from your diet. They are hormone, antibiotic and drug free. They are arsenic free. Chicken breasts have the nutrients such as, Vitamin A, Vitamin B9, Natural Fats, Calcium, Copper, Iron, Magnesium and Omega 3 Fatty Acids.

There is an extreme amount of Amino Acids, Protein, Selenium and Phosphorus is presented in chicken. These are known to strengthen the body by boosting the immune system.

This is one of the simplest Indian chicken recipes which you can easily cook at home.


  • 500 gm Boneless chicken
  • 1 onion
  • 10-12 gm Maida flour
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 60-70 gm noodles
  • ½ tsp salt –according t taste
  • Ghee/oil- as required
  • 5-6 tomatoes
  • 10-12 gm vinegar
  • 60 gm currants
  • ½ lemons
  • 12 gm sugar
  • Black pepper – a pinch


Wash the chicken pieces well and cut it into small pieces. Soak the currants in water for one hour. Squeeze the tomatoes in a bowl till it comes to the juice consistency.

Heat ghee in a pan. Add the chicken pieces with a pinch of salt. Fry it on a low flame till it gets brown. Remove the chicken pieces from ghee and keep it aside. Add the finely chopped onion and garlic cloves in the remaining ghee. Fry it well till it turns brown in color. Add the Maida flour and fry for 5 seconds. Add vinegar and tomato juice. Sprinkle salt and sugar.

Stir well and cook well till it turns thick gravy. Add the fried chicken and mix it well. Also add the boiled noodles and currants. Stir it well and serve it hot.
