Chili Chicken Recipe

Chicken meat is a good source of phosphorus, which is a very essential mineral for the body. Phosphorus maintains the health of teeth and bones, and also ensures healthy functioning of the kidneys, liver and the central nervous system. Chicken is a very good source of lean, high quality protein. Protein is an essential nutrient for growth and development and also plays an important role in assisting overweight and obese people in losing weight fast.

The trace mineral selenium is found in good quantities in chicken. It is an essential component required by many major metabolic pathways, which includes thyroid hormone metabolism, anti-oxidant defense systems, and immune function of the body.

This is one of the easy to cook chicken recipes which can be easily prepared at home.


  • 800 gm boneless chicken
  • ½ tsp white pepper powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp soya sauce
  • 2 tsp corn powder
  • 1 egg
  • 8 green chilies- chopped
  • 6-8 garlic cloves- chopped
  • 1 tsp oil- as required to fry
  • ½ tsp salt- according to taste
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 cups of water


Cut the chicken pieces into one inch pieces. Wash it well. Add salt, soya sauce, egg and I tsp corn powder. Mix it well. Marinate it for 10 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan. Fry the chicken pieces deeply. As it turns it brown, remove it from stove. Fry the chopped garlic cloves, chopped green chilies for 15 seconds and add the 2 cups of water. As it boils well, add the sugar, white pepper powder, salt and rest of soya sauce. Add the fried chicken pieces and cook for 3 minutes.

Add the rest of corn flour after dissolving in water. Stir it constantly. Garnish it with finely chopped coriander leaves. Serve it hot with chapatti, rice or idly.
